I used the PreK-K CVC words list to do Read It.
At first the students fell back in their old habits and did sound-sound-sound when trying to read the words. With more practice they started using the blending method and the excitement in their eyes said it all, when they blended the sounds and the words just rolled off their tongues. The tricky part was trying to do this in a group of 3-4 students.
