IN A ROW
These games are designed for supplemental practice with the high frequency
words listed on Levels 1-4 of the Kindergarten Streamlined Pathway. Level
1 is subdivided into Levels 1a, 1b, and 1c. Level 2 is subdivided into Levels
2a and 2b. The majority of the high frequency words used are decodable or
highly decodable with only one or two irregular features.
On each game page, words occur more than once so students have multiple
opportunities to become more familiar with them. These high frequency
words are also included in the guided reading texts for each level.
Instructions are included at the bottom of every page. For an added
challenge, you can have students start at the bottom of the page and work
their way up trying to get 4 in a row. They can place a marker on a word or
cross out a circle if the one below it has been filled in already.
For multiple uses/durability, place printed games in sheet protectors or
laminate.
