My name is John Wahl and I am a speech pathologist in the New York City public school system. I have been trained in many literacy/language programs, and I enrolled in the Reading Simplified program to expand and enhance my scope of practice. I have not yet used it, because I am currently not servicing any students. However, I plan to implement switch it when I return in September. I have used similar strategies in the past, but now after studying the Reading Simplified system, I realize it it needs to be a necessary framework of my practice.
