An activity I do with my tutoring kids to encourage them to be ‘brave’ and decode tricky words. Someone asked a question in the Teacher’s Lounge about “Word of the Week/Day” and I promised to upload what I do. I’ve made a cover sheet where I have ‘copy & pasted’ my forum reply, to explain what I do with my students. ?
I just posted this activity on the ‘Tutors’ Group and also the “Australian members” group. If you are members of those groups I’m sorry if you get this 2 or 3 times!! I always struggle to know where to post things like this! If I don’t post it here, where it also belongs, I realise some people might miss out! Hence the cross-posting!
